
Hilary Munro is a freelance published writer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her interests in history, archeology and social issues are reflected in her published writings in a wide variety of internationally known published magazines and newspapers.
Her work has been printed in The Times (London), The Corkman (Ireland), Yachting Monthly (UK magazine), The Chronicle and Obelisque (Cairo), Go-Nomad (on-line travel) as well as other publications in Malaysia,Indonesia,Libya and Egypt. Since 2014, she has concentrated on researching family history and written The Seedsman’s Daughter, a creative non-fiction book on the life of her grandparents Fred and May Chater-Jack as pioneer settlers in the White Highlands, Kenya between the two World Wars.
Audio work, centred on social issues in the slums of Cairo, has been broadcast on The BBC World Service Outlook programme.
