The Seedsman’s Daughter is finally finished. It only took 12 years!

An intimate look at the life of pioneer woman May Sutton, who travels to 1920s Kenya to marry. Letters and journals relate actual experience of pioneer life, the hardships and hazards, her fight for recognition as a woman and horticulturist, but not the ambiguous and disturbing killing of Mrs. Kuhn and a land of imperial impunity.

The book will be launched on on 3rd October 2026 at The Scottish Arts Club, Edinburgh. I thought writing the book was the hard part, but getting it edited and proofed before final printing is a whole new ball of wax.
